Russian – US relations are now in their historical low. Two countries never were in war against each other, never had any territorial argument nor memory of mutual offences are now in the acute stage of confrontation. One can easily see that the mistrust and confrontation were increasing in the recent years. Professor Ivan Kurilla in his lecture will present the history of the Russian – American relation from a constructivist perspective, as part of the domestic discourses in the two countries. Such an approach will help to explain the contradictions of the relations and to see a better future.
